The Executive Director of Blue Victoria recently visited Train My Generation on Mfangano Island, Kenya, where he met with Mark and Vicent. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn more about the impactful work TMG is doing to uplift local communities and protect the Lake Victoria ecosystem. During the visit, meaningful discussions were held around potential collaboration on regional initiatives addressing key challenges affecting the lake, including water quality degradation, climate change impacts, and the need for stronger youth engagement in environmental stewardship. Both organizations share a common vision of empowering communities while safeguarding freshwater biodiversity.
Blue Victoria is excited about the possibilities of working together with TMG to scale up conservation efforts and build resilience across the Lake Victoria Basin. Strengthening regional partnerships is essential for tackling shared environmental challenges and creating sustainable solutions for communities and ecosystems alike
